Hey there, I just found an old Pocket Projector (3M Micro Professional Projector MPro110) and wanted to connect it via VGA cable to my Laptop (it is a VGA cable with some kind of Micro-VGA plug on the side that gets plugged into the Beamer) Unfortunately, I always get a BSOD when I plug in the Projector (it doesn't matter whether it is turned on or off) (VIDEOTDRFailure; file: Igdkmd64.sys) I already tried Updating all my GPU drivers (AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series, Driver: 5.1002; Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, Driver: 20.) but had no success. I checked if my VGA output is working as well, since I connected a normal screen using a normal VGA cable to the Laptop. As a last resort I tried using a HDMI-VGA Adapter to connect the Projector via HDMI, unfortunately then the Projector showes a big question mark on its Bluescreen. The only positive thing is, that I don't get a BSOD when I connect it via HDMI. I certainly know that the Projector is about 10 years old, but it works perfectly on my other Laptop which is running on Windows 7.
So maybe there is a problem with the compartibility of the Projector and Windows 10? And if so, how can I fix it?

I got a popup window saying: 'Your system doesn't meet the requirements needed to run this Software':/Yes as Ztruker linked, you need to bypass it (once) to install the upstream Intel drivers. Essentially:. Download the.zip version of the Intel driver and extract it.
Access the device manager by right-clicking the Start button and select 'Device Manager'. Under 'Display adapters', right click on the Intel HD Graphics device, and select 'Properties'.
Under the 'Driver' tab in the properties dialog, select 'Update Driver.' .
Choose 'Browse my computer for driver software', and select 'Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer'. Click 'Have Disk.' And navigate to the directory of the extracted driver, then select the '.inf' file.
Install the driver. The problem with the ZIP-File is, that intel only provides an.exe file for Download.
There is what they say on their website: 'DO NOT use the INF / Have-Disk method to install or uninstall this driver as it bypasses the Intel installer designed to install these new drivers, thereby possibly resulting in minor to major system instability. For this reason, we're not providing the ZIP file for the next several driver releases while users transition to this new Microsoft driver platform.' The last driver with.ZIP file available is the one I have already installed. The MPro110 works great with my JWin portable DVD player, but when I plug it into either my Compaq desktop (SR2013WM, Windows XP) or my HP Pavillion (dv2000, Windows Vista) I have issues. When I plug it into the desktop, I will get the desktop's display to show through the projector for approximately 2-3 seconds. Then the projector display says '60H' in the upper right hand corner. When I plug it into my laptop, all I get is a question mark in the upper right hand corner of the projector display. In the owner's manual for the projector, I haven't seen any dialogue which describes what the different codes mean in the projector display.
Both PCs are acknowledging the added hardware. Here's what I have done so far on my laptop: I've made sure the projector was recognized in 'Device Manager,' disabled and reenabled it, made sure drivers were up to date, customized 'Presentation Settings,' tried to set up for multiple monitors with a mirrored image in 'Display Settings' to see if this would make a diference, and pressed the 'function' key and the F4 key simultaneously to see if anything would happen.
Nothing has worked so far and I'm pretty much out of ideas. The only other thing I can think of would be to maybe try buying an additional cable that can run from the MPro110 to my laptop S-video port. Am I missing something simple here, because this mini-projector has been touted as being PnP and so far, I'm not very impressed (unless, of course, it's a silly mistake on my part).
